How to make the correct choice for your paint brand?

Nowadays the wide offer in different kinds of paint is huge. Making the correct decision what you will use is difficult if you don’t have more information than the spec-sheet. To understand better how good paint is there are several tests. We can provide 4 of them (Pull-Off adhesion, Hardness, UV and Salt spray test).
With this test a dolly will be clued to the paint on a test plate. With a special apparatus this dolly will be pulled off. On a digital screen you can read how many psi (or Mpa) it needed to break. This shows how good the paint is attached to your product.
With the hardness test several scratches are made to a painted test plate with variation in pressure to determine how hard the paint is. This will indicate the scratch resistance of the paint.
A test plate with paint will be held in a special chamber with UV-light, heat and moist. UV light imitates the natural sunlight, but in a much faster way. In a few days the you can see the result of years outside. Color difference and possible cracks are visual.
With this test a scratch will be made in the paint. Salt water will activate and accelerate the rusting process.
For all tests count; the preparation of the surface is very important. You can use the best primer and paint available, but if your product is dirty or greasy, the paint will not stick.
